Her soul turned up

A story of connecting with Little Miss’s soul as it joined her physical body

The powerful spiritual connection you can harness while pregnant is one of the most beautiful experiences of my life to date.

While I was pregnant, following an afternoon meditation, I took a little nap and was shown energy, a soul, being ‘handed down’ to my unborn child. I recorded the notes in my journal, but didn’t mention it to anyone. A few days later, my husband Gary mentioned a similar sensation or impression had been made for him.

Here are my notes:

“I saw my guides around in a circle, holding a ball of light/energy and I was below, reaching up. Then the energy dropped through a corridor of light (which was similar to what Gary later reported he saw) and then my heart beat very fast twice – like a physical jolt. I was so happy and peaceful and joyous and felt like this baby is truly coming soon. My room was filled with my guides, angels and Mother Mary and Vishnu stood forward too, plus people in spirit.”

Now, although I had heard of Vishnu before, I wasn’t really that familiar with this entity. So, of course, I googled. While I was aware of Mother Mary, I googled her too, just to see what would come up. Here are my notes from that exercise:

Mother Mary: a symbol of love, wisdom and compassion; protects women and children

Vishnu: part of 3 Hindu gods, oversee life cycles on earth. preserver and protector of creation

I thought it interesting that an overseer of life cycles on earth would be present at a point when I felt my child soul was being joined with her physical body. Especially as I had no logical way of making that connection prior to the meditation and nap.

I’ve also made this note, which I forgot until now when I re-read it:

Another “smaller” guide joined the group, which I assume is the baby’s main spirit guide.

Sometimes I forget how miraculous life is, and that I have harnessed this ability to be aware of these connections. What a beautiful moment for me and Little Miss, one I shall always cherish.

Did you get a sense of your baby’s energy before you physically met them? Or maybe you too had some psychic information about them, their life path or purpose prior to birth?

Little Lesson – Rest and restore

One small change a week can add up to some big changes, right? Are you feeling it?

So far, you’ve cleaned out physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually.

You may have even felt a little knock on effect each week, or that a change on one level brings about a change at another – that’s ok. In fact it’s good. It means it’s really working! Just give yourself some time for the dust to settle.

And so, this week gives you that chance. This week is fun!

“Your one small task this week is to rest and restore.”

This means really truly rest – sleep in, don’t push your body too hard at the gym, don’t overcommit. Let your mind rest, meditate, be still. Switch off Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, your phone, your message bank, your emails… and just be for a little while. Set yourself a timer and just rest your weary soul.

And then once you’re done being, ramp up the restoring – get outdoors, get creative, sing/dance, delight in something that truly makes your heart sing. Restoring yourself at the core centre of your being. Eat well, live well. Enjoy yourself.

Repeat after me: “I am worthy and deserve to rest and restore my mind, body and spirit.”

Pledge your promise of just one restful and restorative activity below. I want to hear these beautiful self-love gestures!

Ps. Did you know I’ve even been following along the lessons myself? Check out this post for a quick progress report.

How to… discover your life’s purpose

I’ll let you in on a little secret… your life purpose is revealed over the course of a lifetime, not as a mapped out step-by-step assignment you simply have to unearth and implement.

Ahhh. If only it was that easy!

So, how do you discover your purpose if it’s not mapped out in its entirety for you? And how on earth do you live it out?

I’ll save the discussion for living your life purpose for another time, but today, let’s look at how to discover your purpose.

Try these steps to get to know your truth and purpose:

  • Be still and listen. Meditate. Connect with your inner self, or true self.
  • Identify what you hear in that stillness, this is your truth. Take time to become familiar with it. Lean into it.
  • Make change in your life based on this truth. Take your time with this, start small and build up to major change. If something doesn’t match your truth, it no longer serves you.
  • Identify the lessons you encounter along your path. They will not only help you grow and learn, but also add depth to your purpose in overcoming the challenges.
  • Live your truth in each moment, without second guessing where it will lead. Simply offer what you have to offer to whomever is in front of you in this moment. And then the next moment. And the next.
  • Revisit your truth often, through meditation and connecting with your inner voice. Simply rinse and repeat.

Give yourself time to get used to these steps and don’t force the point. Everything will be revealed in its natural divine order. Trust the process and all you’re learning.

And – keep a journal of your findings.
